Tobago is a three-year-old chestnut mare. She is a well-bred horse. She has good push-off power and is quick off the ground. She wants to be careful over the jump and shows a lot of commitment.

Sire Tobago Z belongs to the absolute world elite of showjumping. Under Daniel Deusser, he competed for years at 1.70m level and won multiple Grand Prix and Nations Cup competitions. Tobago Z combines the scope of Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve (1.60m) with the performance genes of the strong damline of Whoopie C (1.45m).

The dam Mabou is a daughter of Untouchable (1.60m), one of the most successful sires in modern showjumping. Granddam O-Contendra B is a daughter of the legendary Contender, a stallion that had a tremendous influence on international showjumping breeding.

The damline belongs to the famous Holsteiner family 104A, a family that has produced international sport horses and approved stallions for decades. From this direct line come, among others, Chijioke (1.50m), Chaka Chaka 3 (1.55m), Giandujah DL (1.40m), Cabalero 12 (1.40m) and several other successful sport horses.

The family becomes even stronger in the third generation. Here we find top horses and approved stallions such as Caretano Z (1.60m), Contendro I, Contendro II (1.55m), Casello (1.60m), N-Caretana (1.50m) and Cassito (1.45m). In particular, Contendro I became one of the most influential sires of both showjumpers and event horses worldwide.

With names such as Tobago Z, Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve, Untouchable, Contender, Caretino, Contendro I, Contendro II and Caretano Z, Tobago comes from an exceptional Holsteiner performance family in which scope, attitude, carefulness and jumping quality have been anchored for generations.
