FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions – HorseMarket.auction

What is the procedure after the auction?

If you are the highest bidder, you will automatically receive an invoice from HorseMarket.auction. Once payment has been received, the horse can be collected from the seller. We are also happy to assist with transport arrangements. Through our international network of horse transporters, we can help organize transportation worldwide.

I registered as an online bidder but did not receive a verification?

Please send a WhatsApp message to +31 6 27 62 27 92 including your name and email address and we will assist you.

How can I bid without checking the auction all the time?

Instead of increasing your bid by the minimum amount each time, you can also place a higher bid directly so you are less likely to be outbid quickly.

How does VAT work?

The VAT status of each horse is clearly shown on the website.

21% VAT horses: offered by companies
Margin horses: offered under the margin scheme

For buyers outside the EU, VAT on the horse itself may not apply when exported according to applicable regulations. VAT on services and commissions may still apply.

Where can I find veterinary information and X-rays?

When available, clinical reports, X-rays and other veterinary information can be viewed after registration on the website.

Many buyers prefer to have their own veterinarian review the information. If needed, we are happy to assist.

Can you organize shipping?

Yes. We work with trusted transport partners worldwide and are happy to help organize transportation.

For a quotation we need:

  • Destination country
  • Stable address
  • Horse information

Please note that transport prices are indicative and may vary.

Are the horses insured?

Horses offered through HorseMarket.auction are not insured unless otherwise stated. Buyers are free to arrange insurance themselves.

Can other owners sell horses through HorseMarket.auction?

Yes. HorseMarket.auction offers horse owners, traders and breeders the possibility to offer horses through the platform.

Is it possible to sell a horse from outside Europe on your platform?

Yes. Horses from different countries can be offered through HorseMarket.auction provided all required information, documentation and available veterinary details are supplied.

What if there is only one bid on a horse?

Our intention is to create a transparent marketplace where buyers and sellers can meet. If there is only one bid, the final decision remains with the seller.

What if the seller is not satisfied with the final bid?

The seller may decide to buy the horse back according to the applicable auction conditions.

Why are some horses offered again?

Occasionally horses may be re-listed due to incomplete transactions or other circumstances. Re-listing does not automatically indicate a problem with the horse.

Do you sell horses with veterinary remarks?

Yes. Some horses may be offered with clinical or radiographic remarks.

At HorseMarket.auction transparency is important. Available information and reports are displayed so buyers can make their own informed decision.

What price range can I expect?

HorseMarket.auction offers a broad selection ranging from lower price categories to higher level sport horses.

Where are the horses located?

Horses can be located in different countries and at different locations. The location of the horse and seller details are shown on the individual horse page.

Viewings and trials may be possible by appointment directly with the seller.
